A Brief Look at ‘Eesa (Jesus) – peace be upon him

jesus

Praise be to Allaah.

  • Maryam the daughter of ‘Imraan was a pious and righteous woman… She strove hard in worship until she had no peer in matters of worship… The angels gave her the glad tidings that Allaah had chosen her:

“And (remember) when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allaah has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the ‘Aalameen (mankind and jinn) (of her lifetime).’

O Maryam! ‘Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allaah, by worshipping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself, and bow down along with Ar-Raaki‘oon (those who bow down)’”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:42-43]

  • Then the angels gave Maryam the glad tidings that Allaah would bestow upon her a child, whom He would create with the word “Be! And it is.” This child’s name was the Messiah ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary)… He would be held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and he would be a Messenger to the Children of Israel… He would teach the Book and wisdom, and the Tawraat (Torah) and Injeel (Gospel) … And he would have attributes and miracles that no one else would have, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“(Remember) when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allaah gives you the glad tidings of a Word [“Be!” — and he was! i.e. ‘Eesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah ‘Eesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allaah.

He will speak to the people, in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the righteous.’

She said: ‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me.’ He said: ‘So (it will be) for Allaah creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: “Be!” and it is’” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:45-47]  Continue reading

Declaration of Disavowal

milat

To the Transgressing rulers [ Tawaghit ]  of every time and place , to the transgressing rulers , the governors and the leaders and the Caesars and the Kisrahs [ Persian Emperors ]  and the Pharaohs  and the Kings and their servants and their misguiding scholars [ Ulama ] to their supporters and their armies and their police and their intelligence agencies and their guardians …to all of them collectively we say

“Verily we are free from you and whatever  you worship besides Allah “
Al Mumtahinah : 4

Free from your wretched  laws, methodologies, constitutions , and values …free from your repugnant governments , courts , distinguishing characteristics and media

“we have rejected you and there has become apparent between us and you enmity and hatred forever, until you believe in Allah Alone “
Al Mumtahinah : 4

I will perform Jihad against your enemies as long as you keep me in  existence

And I will make fighting them my occupation

And I will expose them at their heads of Assemblies

And I will slice their strength  with my tongue

Perish in your rage for my Lord is well knowing of the secrets you with hold
and the evils of your souls

For Allah will support His religion and His books

And His Messenger along with the knowledge and Authority

And the truth is a pillar no one can destroy

Even if the Thaqalan [ Man and Jinn ] united to do so

A Question for Christians

A Question for Christians – Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah [751H]

Ibn Qayyim also wrote a famous qasidah, entitled Ayobbad al-Maseeh Fi Naqd al-Nasraniyyah (O Christ-Worshippers! In Refuting Christianity):

O Christ-worshippers! We want an answer to our question [from your wise ones],

If the Lord was murdered by some people’s act, what kind of god is this?

We wonder! Was He pleased by what they did to Him?
If yes, blessed be they, they achieved His pleasure,

But if He was discontented, this means their power had subjugated Him!

Was the whole entity left without a Sustainer, so who answered the prayers?

Were the heavens vacated, when He laid under the ground somewhere?

Were all the worlds left without a God, to manage while His hands were nailed?

Why did not the angels help Him, when they heard him while he wailed?

How could the rods stand to bear the True Lord when He was fastened,

How could the irons reached Him and [had] His body pinned?

How could His enemies hands reach Him and slap His rear,

And was Christ revived by himself, or was the Reviver another god?

What a sight it was, a grave that enclosed a god,
Stranger still is the belly that confined Him!

He stayed there for nine months in utter darkness, fed by blood!

Then he got out of the womb as a small baby,
Weak and gasping to be breast-fed!

He ate and drank, and did what that naturally resulted,
Is this [what you call] a god?

High Exalted be Allah above the lies of Christians,
All of them will be held accountable for their libels!

O Cross-worshippers! For what reason is this exalted
and blame [is cast upon those] who reject it?

Is it not logical to break and burn it, along with the one who innovated it?

Since the Lord was crucified on it, and his hands were fastened to it?

That is really a cursed cross to carry,
So discard it, do not kiss it!

The Lord was abused on it, and you adore it?
So [it is clear that] you are one of His enemies!

If you extol it because it carried the Lord of the Worlds,

Why don’t you prostrate yourself and worship graves,

Since the grave contained your god in it?

So Christ-worshipper, open your eyes,
This is the Beginning and this is the End.

The purpose of creation

Allah says:

wqwqqwqw

And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone) I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures).Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.

 Surat Al Dhariyat 56-58

Some benefits which can be taken from these ayat:

1. The wisdom behind creating Jinn and Mankind was for them to single out Allah with Ibadah (Worship).

2. Proof of the existence of the Jinn.

3. Allah is completely Rich (Free of all needs) from His creation.

4. Confirmation of two names from the Names of Allah : Ar Razaaq (The Provider) and Al Mateen (The Most Strong).

The virtues of reciting the Quran and memorising it

quran-recitation

Allah Says:

Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah (this Quran), and perform AsSalat (IqamatasSalat), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a (sure) tradegain that will never perish.

That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily! He is OftForgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

Surat Al Fatir 29-30

Narrated `Uthman:

The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

Bukhari

Narrated Aisha:

The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “Such a person as recites the Qur’an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur’an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward.”

Bukhari and Muslim

Abu Musa al-Ash’ari reported Allah’s Messenger (salallahu alayhi wa salam) as saying:

A believer who recites the Qur’an is like an orange whose fragrance is sweet and whose taste is sweet; a believer who does not recite the Qur’an is like a date which has no fragrance but has a sweet taste; and the hypocrite who recites the Qur’an is like a basil whose fragrance is sweet, but whose taste is bitter; and a hypocrite who does not recite the Qur’an is like the colocynth which has no fragrance and has a bitter taste.

Bukhari and Muslim

‘Umar said: So the Holy Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said: By this Book, Allah would exalt some peoples and degrade others.

Muslim

Abu Umama said he heard Allah’s Messenger (salallahu alayhi wa salam) say:

Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It.

Muslim

Ibn ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “Envy is justified in regard to two types of persons only: a man whom Allah has given knowledge of the Qur’an, and so he recites it during the night and during the day; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and so he spends from it during the night and during the day.”

Bukhari and Muslim

Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud:

The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases. (The first is) A person, whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously; (the second is) the one whom Allah has given wisdom (the Holy Qur’an) and he acts according to it and teaches it to others.”

Bukhari

Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”

Tirmidhi and he graded it hasan saheeh

from Abu Sa’eed, that the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “The Lord, Blessed and Most High is He, has said: ‘Whoever is too busy with the Qur’an for remembering Me and asking Me, then I shall give him more than what I give to those who ask.’ And the virtue of Allah’s Speech over the speech of others is like the virtue of Allah over His creation.

Tirmidhi and he graded it hassan gharib

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas:

that the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “Indeed, the one who does not have the Qur’an inside him (his heart), is like the ruined house.”

Tirmidhi and he graded it hasan saheeh

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr:

that the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said: “It shall be said – meaning to the one who memorized the Qur’an – ‘Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.’”

Tirmidhi and he graded it hasan saheeh

Mu’adh al-Juhani reported the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) as saying:

If anyone recites the Qur’an and acts according to its content, on the Day of Judgement his parents will be given to wear a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world if it were among you. So what do you think of him who acts according to this ?

Abu Dawud and Al Albani declared it Daif

What is Islam?

Islam: It is submission to Allah with Tawheed and is compliance with him by obedience, and Barra (disavowal) from Shirk and its people.
